Flying ants are a great source of food for trout during summer months.
|
Step By Step:
|
Start thread and dub a ball of black dubbing for the back section of the body.
|
Next, tie in a black hackle feather and make a few wraps around the mid section.
|
Tie in wing material as shown.
|
Finish fly by making a small dubbing ball in front of the wing and tie off.
|
Additional Tips/Photos:
Tie in cinnamon and brown colors as well. You can also omit the wing for a normal ant if no flying ants are apparent.
