| The steelhead fishing has been fair to good here in NW PA. At the beginning of the week the tribs were fast and muddy but by mid week things slowed down. So the last couple of days they have been in good shape. But it has been raining for the last few hours, but not heavy just a nice steady rain. The forecast for this area is it should stop later this afternoon. There are a lot of fresh fish being caught, but there are also a lot of smolts getting snagged. Make sure you let the smolts go so we will have some nice fish next year. The baits that seem to be working are: Minnows and egg sacs. Fly fishermen have been having success with black stone nymphs. They have been having limited success in the Bay area for crappies and perch. Keep the bait flyin and the fish jumpin. |
