Spent a four day Easter weekend family trip in Naples, FL and managed to get a little fishing in. As I had predicted, the “too good to be true” weather and beach fishing the week prior to my arrival was completed eliminated by a 10 degree temperature drop and 20 knot on-shore winds. Nonetheless, we still managed to stretch some string and make some memories. Got a 14' Tarpon Tandem kayak for me and the family to fish/play with while we where there and it saved the day. I'm very busy with finals right now and don't have time for a big commentary report but this should be entertaining anyhow. Here's a couple pics

The first day was so cold and windy we decided to go check out an old growth cypress preserve, Corkscrew Sanctuary. If you see this going down to your favorite fishing hole, turn around. In the next picture you'll see why.

Big Daddy is up on the bank, protecting his girlfriend and one of the few remaining water holes (drought currently). For all you Audabon hippy types... those are birds are wood stork, roseate spoon bill, common egret, cattle egret.

Checked out a couple lights before dark with the kids and got into a few snook and jacks on artificials.

Took my wife out with live shrimp on a 3/0 circle and it was like shooting fish in a barrel. Most fun I ever had with my wife after dark (fishing). Laughing

Ladyfish. After this photo I put the camera away because of getting splashed. Doing battle eye to eye you tend to get wet and digital cameras dont like saltwater.

You'll never see Jose Wejebe photographing a red this size! Went out for a couple minutes before breakfast and got this little guy. Nice change of scenery from the snook slaughter the night before.

Out for a few minutes with my baby and even she got in on the action. Look out Cindy Garrison!

Perfect for the plate - Now.

Perfect for the plate - Later.

After a hard day fishin' with Dad I bought 'em a round of Shirley Temples at the "Beach Club" with the sunset.

Couldn't resist trying a couple lights on foot the night before we left. I think we "educated" them good as all I could muster up was a couple little guys like this. Actually I think it was the difference of artificials vs. live shrimp.

Hope you enjoyed.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us...you fared a lot better than I did down there in January, other than seeing a lot of alligators Wink
