I saw a rather poor photo of a newer (UK?) tube fly called the Pot Belly Pig. Looks fairly interesting. A bit "grubby", with a sparse wing of what is presumably boar, and tied on a bottle tube.

The picture was not clear enough to properly make out the full pattern. Does anyone have the recipe for this fly? Anyone try it?

I'm also looking for a recommendation on a good shop to order bottle tubes from. Suggestions appreciated.

Much thanks!

Best,

Brian

Here is an article sent to me by a friend " Len" in the UK.

You may have to save the attachments into paint then jack up the sizes, as these were scans...hope this works

THE REAL KEY TO THE PATTERN IS USING BOAR BRISTLE for antenna and splay them out so they pulse in the water and don't matt down

Cheers
Paul

These look rather familar! I took the photo!

If anyone wants them - they're available at my webshop: www.flybox.co.uk - plus other variants too!!....

Sorry...not trying to plug my flies! but there are some other good variants of PBP there..

Cheers

Yes...thanks IJC. Used the photo off of E-Bay. They look great. My intention was to tie some up of that variation.

Thanks, cool looking tubes
