Last night I decided to take a drive with a buddy and fish into the night for some walleye. I feel pretty good today despite going to bed at 2:30am and getting up for school at 6:00am. We fished large, bright crankbaits in a sweet WI tributary. The weather was perfect and our speculations on the fishing were dead on. It was one of my best days walleye fishing, and I don't get to do this very much (usually because I am to preoccupied with steelhead and salmon). Anyway we fished from 8:30pm untill 11:30pm. My friend and I landed 54 fish total. 50 were super aggressive males from 16" to 20" (very healthy). The other 4 were huge females, all over 26". The largest was 27 1/2". All fish were safely released.
Here are a couple pics of our 2 biggest fish of the night! My buddy is on the top with his 27 1/2" fish and I am below with my 27".

OOOOOHH, getting me excited for lake walleyes coming up soon on Erie! I'm not much to eat steel and salmon, but walleye (especially in the 16"-20" range) are stocked into the freezer hardcore! Yum Very Happy It sure is fun to catch them in the rivers, but when you get so many good eaters like you did, man it makes you wish they were in season!

Nice pics as always dude!
