Ray, Nice pictures. I really like that soft hackle. Here are a few patterns I came up with yesterday. Nothing really fancy just some palmered marabou.

Yup, I'm from Ohio. I don't mind fishing for creek chubs in the summer months and late in the Spring when they get their spawning colors. They are some beautiful fish in those months despite their size.

| Bow buster, man is this site slow!Know lots of guys tie flies and with digital cameras posting makes it a snap..Been messing with speys just recently.Look carefully in th mouth of that buck you'll see a quick spey a lot like this one I took a pic of..Like the look of them especially the clean lines of a well tied one..Got a lot more practice until I can say I can get it looking almost as good as the better spey tyers do there's..but I'm trying..LOL..Ray

Bowbuster, these may be bigger than whatcha catch all summer long
A few quick ties for my latest technique spree....
Still dam hard to beat the pin, but casting stuff like this without causing bodily harm to you or bystanders takes a bit more skill and practice. One of these days I'll figure that out too

Are we talking about the shiners and chubs? I have a few cats and carp under my belt too this year .
Those look like the sculpin pattern that's on the home page of the site. They look really good.

| Lot of ways to tie it this is my way spin off of my buddy @Greg/Jagfly co. ,this one is articulated using 1270 daiichi for the tail clipped at bend, fireline for the joint black hairs ear/antron mix as tail dubbing ,sonic blue krystal flash for the segmentation and as a wingcase ,beaded chain eyes, blck partridge for legs/gills/..black petite estaz for the thorax, also I coat the top of the wingase like a copperjohn with loon uv knotsense as a epoxy back and keeps the strands of flash together and in place ,I'll put a single pic of it up later when I get a chance...Ray

Racinray,
Thanks for the reply. Looking forward for the pic of a single fly. The electric blue and black colco combination is a effective strike response pattern.
