Regarding placing an order for Drennans to the UK, I usually get together orders from four to six friend and place the order for all of us....so my orders are gererally well over 100 floats at a shot....which allows for comparatively dirt cheap shipping.

|

I just wanted to get some facts on some different lines and the properties of both Siglon and Ashima. I was curious what the difference is between the two lines since both are resin impregnated. Egg Sack had some credibility going until he mad the statement about someone who uses the lines he sells will out fish everyone using another brand (did I mis understand you). I was just looking for the facts. I'm sure Leon is a great fishermen and I don't know him personally so I can't judge him on what you or anyone else says. I've seen his reels and they are some some of the best I've seen. I'm interested in match fishing but due to my limited budget I can't afford a pole of long rod made by Trabucco, Drennan, Milo, DAM, Silstar, or any other co. so I'm criticle as to how I spend my money.
Line twist with the side cast is just the nature of the beast whether the drum is spinning or not. Like it's been said going to a heavier line will help eliminate some twist but I feel the angler would be better off trying to cast off the drum but each cast has it place in a given situation. Just my thoughts.
opps, sorry I didn't realize there was a second page to the thread.

Eggsack,
I thought Paul from Anglers International was the ONLY legitamate source for Drennan in North America? Also, rumor says that you purchase all of your Drennan's illegally through France? Just curious that's all.
Talk to you later |

|
|
Anglers International is a great distributor of quality fishing products for the centerpin industry. Paul sells to Canada and the US. I am a new company, just in my fourth year of sales, but I to am a legitimate distributor of Drennan products. I also sell ALL of Drennan's stuff. I am working on a few deals to get match fishing products available in the midwest and New York. I am also supplying a group called the Carp Fishing Society that is going to start selling Drennan, Kamasan, and ESP products to anyone intrested in the high end Carp market. I also sell Trabucco, but I have limited inventory since I just started with them.
As far as me buying illegitimately from France, that is false, Until I became Drennan direct, I bought my stocks from a friend who own Benwick's Angling Centre in England. So the rumor is false, and it was not illegitimate because Drennan gave Benwick permission to sell to me, Drennan was not ready to supply direct to the US until August of last year. Now they are more ready and we are going to stick to a plan of growth and price controls. The only reason prices are so high right now is that the exchange rate with the pound is real bad. If it would go down to where it should be, the prices on Drennan floats would be $1.50 retail. As soon as the dollar gains strength, the prices will be right there.
If anyone is interested in contacting me directly, I have a toll free number good around the globe. It is 1-866- SR TROUT. If there are products that I sould look into, please feel free to call.
If anyone has any complaints about any lines I sell, I am open for those calls as well. In fact complaints are a high priority in my business. I need to know what is going on in your area of fishing so I can relay the correct information back to the manufacturer. They may already make lines that will fix the problems you might be having, and if they do not, I know they will make it. |
