The outgoing drag is silent with a pleasant audible click retrieve.

jumbo shrimp anyone? Laughing

Looks better then their other reels, I wonder if it is machined any nicer? A dragged reel at half the price I bet they sell a bunch.

Cool idea but there's a few things I don't like. First they are only available in left hand retrieve, not good for someone who reels right handed like me. If the drag isn't sealed, it looks like dirt could get in easily with all the porting on the back plate. The handles are also really far out, but the spokes allow for your fingers to spin the spool. Silent outgoing drag and a click retrieve-- seems backward to me, if I had a drag I'd want to here it sing when a fish takes off, and I like a silent retrieve. Would like to see a 5 inch model. Overall I'd like to give it a try as I own a Sheffield but probably not the reel for me. Neat product though.

I sure hope the drag is better than the drags on the fly reels I have played with that are built by Okuma....

Would be a cool reel to play with, definitely not something I would ever buy though...

I thought the same thing till I played with one yesterday.
Exceptionally smooth with good start up and no play.
The drag is fully adjustable and could easily be cranked enough to blow up tippet and it’s a smooth take out on the drag, not jerky at all. I think it would make a cool Salmon reel or even a nice winter steelhead reel if the drag held up in the ice. It was a lot nicer than what I was expecting.

Grow up already. You're a bunch of cowards hiding behind keyboards, aliases and proxy servers.

Yes I really think it could slow down a skam or salmon.
When you tighten it up its nice, could easily(if the rod held up) snap 10 pound tippet.
The dropbacks were a fun diversion in between our other targets, I was actually glad they were there, kinda broke up the day.
We'll be coming back out soon enough.
