Last night our neighborhood was the target of some serious crime. Almost everyone on the block with anything valuable in their car had some sort of breaking and entering/ theft involved....I got the shaft end of the ordeal when my saturn was stolen *along with alot of gear in the trunk*. The sad thing is I live in a good neighborhood and nothing of this maginitude has EVER happend!

My mykiss II serial #B097 was stolen along with a custom Lamiglas, Rainshadow/ Matrix XL combo, Cabelas wading jacket, Gander Mt. wading pants, GanderMt. chest pack loaded with stuff, MY FRIGGIN WADING BOOTS.....Everything here is easily replacable ( with a few extra hours of overtime) EXCEPT the Mykiss...

Again the serial number is B097..Mykiss II, the ported version...If anyone at all comes across this reel, BUY IT AND GET AHOLD OF ME....the rewards will be great. I am willing to compensate anyone who can return it to me many many times it's actual value, plus what they had to do or spend to obtain it...

I'm not looking for any sympathy, just me reel!

Any one with info can PM me, or call James @ 269-270-6528.

That's always my worst fear when i load the car up the night before i go out, or when i'm lazy and don't clean it out when i'm done. Might be time to start loading right before i go, i don't want to be looking for #A088 Exclamation

So have they even found the car yet? Sad thing is the guys who stole the car probably had no clue of the reels value and just tossed it.

I too had some good memories with that reel. I certainly hope it ends up back in your hands James...

still nothing....it's probably sitting in some parkinglot stalled out cuz I only had a little gas in the tank...It was a SATURN for cripe sake...It's not like they can scrap it for metal Laughing

And yeah they probably have no clue what they have...but homeowner insurance looks like it's gonna come through for me. No Mykiss, but some funds for a new reel....

I couldn't believe that happend to me.believe it or not I got my glx and ang spec back the cops found it on the side of the road. A little scapped up but I didn't care. I was happy just to get my baby back. But every thing else was a total loss.not that its gona make you feel Bette to say I know how u feel but I realy do and I hope you get you're reel back

That is definitely true, back in the day when I worked as a snowboard instructor if they didn't lock up their stuff it would get ripped off, and sometimes even if they did the guys would just cut the cable and steal it. Lots of stuff ended up on ebay I always heard. Later on when I worked for Burton Snowboards demo tour we had a couple boards come up missing and I know for a fact they ended up on ebay as there was a lot of talk about it and the guys got caught....

The difference is those people know what they are stealing. Some thug car jacker will probably look at a centerpin and be like what is this piece of crap.... Who knows. Hopefully they just used the car to go joy riding and they find it with everything in it....

Our business had 4 vehicles stolen one night about a year ago and it was some under age kids whom were stealing cars and racing them back to Chicago. They would then ditch the cars party in Chicago "they were Latin Kings" and steal some more cars there and come back. When the vehicles were recovered they were trashed. The kids were not even 16, but they were charged as adults as it was none of their first offenses! Crazy what this world is coming to...

Well I yandered down to the pawn shops as soon as I could after the car was stolen, and gave each store a few pics of the rigs...I asked them if anyone tried to bring it in, call the cops and stall em.

Unfortunately, yesterday morning when they hawked the gear, the owner of the shop I talked to wasn't there yet, and one of the other employees was the one who first recieved the rod. He hadn't seen the pics and had no idea anything was going on. When the owner/manager of the shop got in and seen the rig, he called me up and told me what he had and wondered if I still wanted to call the cops. I opted not to *yet* in hopes they will bring the rest of the gear to the shop, and THEN we'll get him! Now that every employee knows what I'm looking for....they won't slip away again (not that they're going to in the first place, we have all of his impotant I.D. info Laughing )

The reel is still in perfect shape, and the line/ float was still rigged up when I picked it up Question

All in all this whole thing has been a major pain in my @$$ but at least I got my baby back.
