| It has been a beautiful couple of days here in NW PA. Not much precip so the creeks are going down and clearing up in color. The first part of the week they were a little high because of the run off of what snow we had melting. But we've been getting good reports all along the south shores of Lake Erie, from OH into NY. The best bait recently has been single eggs, small eggs sacs, and shiners. Although some are also having success with skein and wooly buggers. The larger creeks of course are more prone to be quickly affected by smaller amounts of precip on runoff. But there is not much snow left to melt and they are not calling for much rain, a little but nothing major. So hopefully you should be able to keep the bait flyin and fish jumpin thru the weekend. What better way to finish off the year than some good steelheaded. |
