| My annual trip to chase albies, striped bass, and blues along coastal Rhode Island is around the corner. If anybody (Sage Drifter? Skiltonian?) is going to be in the area the first week in October, let me know. I am hoping for a repeat of last year http://www.questoutdoors.net/phpBB2/about2167.html Tight lines! |

Darn it, well miss that time frame by a few days near North Kingstown. As this is family trip, I could have used a hookup as leverage to get out a couple of days. Good luck over there. |

wishin aint fishin, but I do wish I could go. We're still trying to figure out how to get down to FLA this fall for their blitz, the mullet run on the east side. My wife believes it's a trip for our anniversary Sept.29. I really want to catch a tarpon or big shark in the surf. This is my last fall still in school and I have a tuition bill of almost three grand. That would pay for both trips and maybe some left over.
Oh well, whoa is me . Take some more pics and have fun!! |

Thanks for the response Fly and have many questions. For starters, are there DIY shore/pier opportunities for Stripers around the area or State near the end of Sept.? Guess that was a 2 part question. Any info would be appreciated. |

I wish I could take credit on that Jack, but it's a friend of mine who has a two month sabbatical every year in FLA |

I'll be making my annual trip fishing down along the "Jersey shore", the first week of October. We mostly target Stripers [both boat and shore], but most years also pick up a bunch of blues and false albies. We also make a "canyon" trip for the big boys. Always limit out on Yellowfin and "real" Albacore.......keeps me in steaks and sushi for the year!
If anyone would like details, please pm.
