| Welcome to NW PA where the weather can change in a heart beat, we went from a record high a couple days ago to below normal with snow. Right now it is snowing with 2 - 4 inches forecast for overnight. Due to the quick melt down and the rain and now snow all the creeks are very high, very fast and very muddy. There is a lot of flooding in the area. More bad news, the ice fishing is done for the year, where there is ice it is NOT safe. But good news, all this water should bring some fresh steelies into the creeks, so as soon as things settle down there should be some good fishing. The steelies that have been caught have been on the small side. Hopefully we'll be able to get the bait flying and the fish jumpin here pretty soon. The fishins not good but the maple sap is running, this weekend is the 4th annual maple taste and tour. visit some of the local syrup producers each have their own unique method for producing their syrup. You can get samples and purchase syrup, maple mustard, candy etc. Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great day. |
