My Brother and I got lucky on New Years Eve and found the V in great shape for the 4hrs. we fished in the morning until the water started rising from the rain. I normally wouldn't divulge my info, but since it's unfishable I figured I would be alright Wink

Got my brother on his first steelie in a river (ie- not on a pier up north) and it also counted as his first on a pin. He was stoked!

Snowmonkey, it was a pleasure to meet ya in person, I'm sure you guys had fun that morning too!

The fish were CHROME and Drew's was the only one with a little bit of color. Enjoy!

Be careful, that Ohio stuff can be contagious. It's easy to put the blinders on when you've got a bend in your rod. Sweet super chrome.

I may have grew up in Findlay, but my steelheading roots are firmly planted in MI Very Happy May be less numbers in MI, but those smaller numbers make up for it in the scenery, avg. size, and most importantly fight! I'm always watching the OH flow guages though Wink

Thanks BZ!

Scr*w that, show those buckeyes how to really catch fish Laughing Laughing

Nice bent rod pic Trev - at least that one didn't blow up Shocked

The best part about Ohio is NO, I repeat NO F-ING JET BOATS!!!! Man is it nice to fish on foot without that irritating sound all day. God Bless the ODNR, the best $40 I spend all year Wink

We hit OH on Friday the 29th, only one river was fishable that day. Always a good time down there, less arseholes than in Ontario.

Treven,

Nice to meet you too! We ended up fishing down below you and never had to move. Hooked plenty of fish...although none quite as big as the one in your pics (at least landed!). ALL fish we ran into were chrome w/out exception. I'm sure I'll see you there again Laughing

Yes sir, I'm starting to learn that river more and more each time I go. I try to keep a good watch on the flow guage. I'll have to let ya know next time I'm in the area.

How did your steelie newbies fair out? It is always a blast to get new guys into fish Very Happy
