|
|
Just getting back into fly tying. So, I have some materials and some tools, but I've only ever tied Alaskan patterns - big and easy!
What would be the best allaround 6 or 8 patterns including size and color to start tying for Lake Erie & Ontario Steelhead? Also, if you could include the materials necessary that would be great. With SO many patterns out there and materials necessary to tie them it can get overwhelming knowing where to start and what to buy. I'd like to start off with the classic, go-to patterns and then branch out.
I know there's generally 3 catagories: streamers, nymphs, & eggs.
I got this far:
Streamers:
Beadhead WollyBuggers in 6,8,10 - Olive, Brown, Black.
Clouser
Nymyps:
Prince
BH Pheasant Tail
Eggs:
Estaz
Thankyou kindly for any input. |
