Well the weather has kept many boats off the lake and this weekend will probably prove to be no different, as they are calling for off and on rain showers all weekend. But they aren't calling for a lot of wind, so maybe the water will stay a bit calmer than it has been. Large mouth bass fishing as been fabulous in the bay area and small mouth is reaching its peak or maybe slightly beyond the peak. The best walleye fishing has been casting from the shore, especially just off the mouths of the creeks. Perch fishing appears to be winding down for now. Hopefully the water will start settling down so the charter boats can get out and give us some good reports. Steelhead fishing may be pretty much done but we can still keep the bait flyin and the fish jumpin throughout the summer.
