I am going to attempt to rope wrap my 9' oars.

Can someone with a set of 9 footers tell me roughly how far the rope wrap extends above and below the oar stop?

Oh the ones I see are 6" above and far enough below that when the oar sits in water it won't rub on the side of gunnel. Eventually it wears a rub mark in your oar If you don't wrap it far enough.
