Shell wants to drill for coalbed methane this summer in the Sacred Headwaters, the shared birthplace of the Skeena, Nass and Stikine Rivers. These three rivers are among Canada's most important wild steelhead/salmon rivers. In addition, the Sacred Headwaters supports rich wildlife populations, including stone sheep, grizzly bears and caribou.

The Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition is working to stop Shell's project from harming the sensitive ecosystems of the Sacred Headwaters.
