I've got an opportunity to pick up a Scott spey rod at a significant discount. What are the verdicts on the LS2 rods? Should I get the 13' 7wt, 14' 8wt, or 15' 9wt? I'm just getting into spey casting, and want to use it for bigger rivers and maybe some surf fishing. I can also get the Arc Spey rod in 7-10 weights. Any thoughts or suggestions on length/line weight would be appreciated.

i really like the ls2 14' 8wt with a rio ms 7/8. i had the opportunity to test this in the spring. very light and powerful. i will eventually own the 14' 8wt. you need to decide on your own water/fly needs and casting stroke. good luck.
