OK,
lots of pepole mentioning that the directions on the speyclave website are all f-ed up. For all of you heading from the Metro-Detroit area, here's how you'll want to travel...

From Windsor, jump on the 401 East
-or-
From Sarnia/Port Huron, take 402 East to the 401

-in either case-
Continue 401 East past London, Ingersoll and finally Woodstock
Just past Woodstock the highway forks. Take the 403 (right lanes) East towards Brantford/Hamilton/Niagara.

BEFORE Brantford, take the Rest Acres Road exit (aprox. 15 minutes after the 401/403 split off the top of my head).

Turn Right (South) on Rest Acres.

Travel to the second intersection, Robinson Road, and turn Left (East).

Take this down until it essentially ends at Jennings Rd. You'll see the campground entrance on your Right (North).

The Clave is being held in the North-West corner of the campground.

Here is a map of the 403, Rest Acres, and Robinson Road. The campgroun is the series of unlabeled roads south of the oxbow in the river.

Also, if you've tried to register on the speyclave site and had problems, don't worry. Just come on out to the clave and you can register on-site.

Hope to see you there!

Best,

Brian

Louis,
good questions, and one I don't have an answer to. I believe the clave began at 8:00 the first day to allow time for registration. Hopefully Neil (SpeyLaddie) or Rick can give us a definitive start time. If you're early, look for a green Suburban with MI plates. Come on by and introduce yourself.

I'll try and get a definitive answer tonight.

Best,

Brian

i don't think we really got going until 9-9:30 by the time Tarps and the Porta-Pottie was set-up.

here's to hoping for better weather than we had last year in the Morning. Although it did add a West Coast/Scottish apeal with the drizzle & mist.
