i wonder if the cork tastes like egg juice, fish slime and maggot juice all mixed into one. i would have to say that would be a good protein bar if you get hungry while fishing all day.

to bad the fish got bonked
release the browns and use salmon roe from the fish cleaning stations.
you don't have to bonk every trout you catch.
so much for only keeping fish from g.bay area

This may help you understand the question you asked "and who cares if he keeps a fish?"
Just about every river in Ontario that has runs of bows get virtually no support from our goverment, when it comes to stocking, stream rehab and law enforcement. Ill break it down even more.
Stocking is basiclly none existant some rivers may get 5000 smolt a year stocked and most of those are chowwed down by cormerrants before they even get out of the harbour.
Stream rehab: People love to have the houses on rivers which causes 2 things, low water which warms to high in the summer monthes for the fry to live. and reduced places to fish which means even more pressure in a smaller area.
Law enforcement on the river its not there, some people take over the limit and theres nobody to stop them, and there are quite a few people that dont have a license, dont buy one or dont think they need one. I personally have fished for a good part of 32 years and hunted for 17 and never once been asked for my license.
Our steelhead runs on alot of rivers are in the hundreds not thousands or even 10's of thousnads. Now factor in a limit of 5 fish a day, increasing amount of people fishing the tribs, low stocking numbers, low return rates, low spawning success equals a crashing fishery as I and alot of others see it as well.
Naming a river up here that is holdoing fish is just not told on the internet let alone posting a pic with a known background, just adds to the pressure.
I have fished south of the border and marvel every time at the numbers of fish in the rivers, wish we had 1% of that here.
Bottom line sure he bonked a fish but thats also a fish that could have spawned and slightly increased the population even if was only by 2 and not taken away from the population. |

So how did you wind up in the dam pool? |

The only thing this thread has accomplished is wasting space. If you want to post a report you may want to try under the post a report ontario page.
