I'd like some general opinions on anchors from boats and their effects on steelhead catching. Do you find anchoring your boat spooks the fish and it takes some time for them to settle back down? In winter (cold cold water) has anyone found dropping anchor actually wake em' up and get things going? Has a dragged anchor ever stirred up the bottom and got the fish going, similiar to what some trout fisherman (oops. was that a secret. or worse yet... poor trout etiquette!)?? Or do you find beaching a boat as qiuetly as possible or tying off to a tree work better for you?

Like wise for motoring over/thru/around a hole? Same question. I have my own observations but in the Quest for Mo Fish... what do you all think?
