i finally made it out fishing for some spring kings on lake michigan this morning. we absolutely slaughtered them, 16 fish landed in a couple hours. we took fish on everything, with core and riggers producing the most fish. we fished from 45-180 feet of water and caught fish everywhere. we also lost a few steelhead up top as well.
the fishing is excellent right now and lake michigan could sure use a few less salmon in it, so get out while you can. kings were running small and skinny so i hope we arn't in for a lake huron repeat.
