Hi everyone, I just found tis board and it seems like a nice one. ipost regularly on the floatfishing.net board and I think there are some guys ffrom their on here. Anyway, I just wanted to get to know some of you guys and Where you like to fish. No spots, but name's of rivers and streams. I live in Oshawa, Ontario and fish all teh creeks from Duffins to Shelter valley. I also would like to know from uys who have fished in the states and in canada, Which do they like better?

Hi Steel Jr.,
welcome to the board! I've only been pinning for a few months, but have fly fished a number of Ontario tribs. Not sure where Oshawa is, but I'm in the Detroit area. Most of my fishing is on MI's west side, but with the same drive I can be fishing the Grand, Saugeen, Bronte, etc... Can't say I like one area more than the other, but definitly different experiences. Spent opening day last year floating the Saugeen from Walkerton and had a great time (even though the fish weren't cooperating). Think this year I'll finally make it to the big head and float a stretch with a buddy from Kitchner. Lookin forward to it!

Hey Jr, hows it going? I'm among the floatfishing.net brethren as well. I live in Grand Rapids, MI and mostly fish west michigan rivers and streams, home river is the Grand River in downtown Grand Rapids. I have fished a number of Ontario streams in the Georgian Bay area as well as northern Superior streams. Besides river fishing I love to fish the big lake for salmonids, just love the screams of a hot running shlam out in the lake.

I'm new here as well and from the floatfishing.net. I live in Whitby, ON and I usually fish the Greater Toronto Area tribs. Go out a lot with Steelhead Jr.

how is the fishing on the Grand river, I was there in Grand rapids about a year ago and was watching people fish from my hotel room. |
