I'm looking to buy a Okuma IM8 rod.
The price seems too good to be true.
Overall, how good is the QUALITY on ANY of their rods?
Any experience specifically with their IM8, does it have the backbone you'd expect?

Never had one of their rods, but the first Sheffield reel I owned had a slightly bent shaft and they fixed it without hassle. Had the reel back within a week of them receiving it.

i would stay far away from okumas rods they are garbage i know i few people that have had them they break way to easy and takes awhile to get them back if the store dosent replace it for you imho i would stay far away from those rods just spend the extra money get yourself a decent rod and then has no worries from then on go with loomis or raven and you will have a good rod with a good warranty and will not be dissapointed at all just my
.02 worth

I've seen 3 Okuma float rods break for no good reason.

Just got a Lamiglas Certified Pro Float Rod X 13 LS for 6-10 wt line for Xmas. Custom built by Frank Zak, with sruble reel seat, black walnut burl insert, batson highframe guides for 200.00.
Now all I need is a break in the Syracuse area weather.
Thanx everyone for your imput.
