| Well let's see it was almost 80 degrees at the beginning of the week, it is now only in the 20s and snowing, welcome to NW PA. But the rain/snow did move some steelies around. Anglers staying with us caught an average of 4 a piece and they were all fresh fish. But they weren't having success at the mouths of the creeks they were further inland. They were all decent sized fish. But reportedly the spring run is about done, with not much happening. Most are using larger hooks and baits to keep from snagging the smolts. Crappies are hitting really good on Pymatuning right now. Keep the bait flying and the fish jumping. |
