Just got a call from my brother, been fishing down in the Naples/Ft. Meyers area. Most places bait is pretty hard to find. Red tide realy did a job on em. Fishing is starting to come back a bit. He did manages to get a half doz larger pin fish yesterday afternoon off Bowmans Beach, no game fish to speak of, so he took em home and fished first light in the pass by the condo he's in in Naples. Hit 4 or 5 fish including on piggy snook that was over 40". Interesting to see the pics when he gets back. Other that the fishing this am he said fishing all over the inland waters has been poor to non-existant...

Got another call from my bro this afternoon, GOD I HATE IT WHEN SOMEONE ELSE IS FISHING AND I'M NOT!! Anyway, put the kayak in on Pine Island and paddled around, saw tons of baitfish, reds, snook, ladyfish and sharks. Red tide must be almost gone up there. The number and size of the sharks actualy chased him off the water! Guess every pothole out there over about 6' deep had jaws crusing around. He did manage a few lady fish, a trout and I think a nice jack. Be funny to see the picture of the 6' shark 30' from the front of his kayak. My only question is why didn't he try to hook up Wink Said he'll be back up there at first light to try for some big jacks and reds...
