I just got back last week from a 2 month trip mostly spent in and around northern California (Chico) and western Orgeon (Corvallis). On this trip I had the pleasure of catching a couple fish like this...
Caught on the Alsie River near the town of Alsea, drifting a corky from the bank identical to this...
It spurred on my fishing bug bigtime. I'm back in Michigan and ready to keep getting my feet wet. I'm located near Flint and am thinking about trying out the Huron with my dad (newbie as well). Any suggestions for a couple newbie fisherman looking to have some luck within the next month or so here in SE Michigan?
I'll be here until Feb. when I head off to Australia for a 4 month visit. I'm planning to learn a bit about float tube fishing on lakes down there and maybe get a bit of river/creek wading/canoe fishin in as well.
Anyway, I've been reading some posts this evening and learning quite a bit from everyone on this forum. I really dig what ya'll got goin on here. I wish you all a very merry Christmas, happy holidays, and may you and yours be safe and sound this holiday season.
