Just like any other world class fishing destination, the area surrounding the Muskegon River has a multitude of supporting businesses. Lodging can be had for as little as $30/night to well over $100/night depending on what your preferences are. Here is a short list of some of the restaurants, hotels, motels and tackle shops, some we've personally visited, others we've had friends stay at. Granted, there are many, many more in the area but we spend our time on the river, not rating the food! The remarks are from our staff, and again, like all other parts of Quest Outdoors, are not biased one way or the other; just our honest opinions.

Parsley's Sport & Fly Shop
Located on M-37 in the "old downtown" section of Newaygo, Parsleys is only about a half mile from the river. They have a good selection of not only fishing items, but hunting, as well as clothing. Good place to stop in if you forgot... say your wool socks ;-) |

Cronks seems to be THE place to stay in Newaygo, at least our staff seems to think so. Clean well maintained rooms, pet friendly and their restraunt is right across the parking lot. About the only thing we can ding them on is no coffee pots in the rooms.

You can also find a number of motels/hotels in Newaygo and the surrounding area. Mostly Mom & Pop Motels, almost all are open year around. During peak season it's best to book early!

Food, Food, Food
Newaygo has just about any type of food you could want. From Chinese buffet to Subway, McD's, Taco Bell, a couple pizza places whatever you want is easily found on the main drag. One word of caution, the mom and pop places seem to close early so get off the water well in time to make last call. |

Hyde Boats Quest Endorsed
With all the business Hyde Boats has done in the state they figured it might just be a good place to open a shop. The actual boats aren't made here, just shipped to. You can pick up anything from a boat to an anchor, motor mount, oars or just about anything else you might need.
