Huron River Local Establishments
Bait & Tackle Lodging Food & Bevarage Guides Other
Just like any other suburban fishery, the area surrounding the Huron River has a multitude of supporting businesses. Lodging can be had for as little as $30/night to well over $100/night depending on what your preferences are. Here is a short list of some of the restaurants, hotels, motels and tackle shops, some we've personally visited, others we've had friends stay at. Granted, there are many, many more in the area but we spend our time on the river, not rating the food! The remarks are from our staff, and again, like all other parts of Quest Outdoors, are not biased one way or the other; just our honest opinions.

Bottom Line Bait & Tackle
Located on West Jefferson down by the mouth and directly across from Erie Metropark, this is the only shop in the area that's remained conistantly open. Luckily, the ice fishermen that fish Erie stop by throughout the winter which allows the shop to survive. There have been several bait shops open |
right in Flatrock by the dam but they keep going out of business. Bottom Line carrys a decent selection of tackle, most suited for Erie but they do have some river stuff like small jigs and maggots, spoons, plugs, etc. We'd suggest calling to get the latest shop hours before you go (734)379-9762.
