Frog Fanny Double Duty Fly Treatment
“Frog’s Fanny is not only the best dry fly floatant that you will ever use, now you can really “Match the Hatch” by coating your nymphs with Frog’s Fanny. It will put an air bubble around them that looks exactly like an emerging insect.”
A friend of mine told me to give this stuff a try, so I picked up a bottle while I was in Montana this year. Faster currents and windy conditions caused my flies to get water logged quicker out there. The directions say to apply it before the fly gets wet, but I found myself treating drowned dry flies with it to dry them out so I could keep fishing that particular pattern, especially when it was catching fish. This dressing worked very well and floated dry flies nice and high.

Typical sized bottle, Frog’s Fanny has a convenient brush in the cap. This helped to get the powder worked into the materials of the fly.
Plus / Minus:
|Compact size||Material blows off the brush in little wind|
A great product! For those of us who fish dries, this is a product that you must try. Although the powder is fine and tends to blow off from the brush a bit when exposed, each bottle has a generous supply.
